The image was then posted on her Facebook page, drawing the attention of people around the world
"I was told by a Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guide official that ... you may offer your artistic services somewhere else," contactmusic.com quoted the 28-year-old as saying.
Based in Paris, the actress left Iran last year. She is more familiar to us as nurse 'Aisha' who played the love interest of Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio) in Ridley Scott action thriller 'Body of Lies' .
She did a cameo in "A Separation" - a film that has been nominated in Best Foreign Film category in Oscar awards. The movie won the Golden Globe award for the best foreign language film.
She is also into music as well. She was part of an underground rock band named "Kooch Neshin" while in Iran. Golshifteh is the first Iranian to star in a Hollywood film.
