Mob kills leopard in Kerala(India)

PATHANAMTHITTA: In a freak incident, a female leopard was killed by a mob that came to the rescue of a youth who was attacked by it at Angamozhi in this district of Kerala today. The incident occurred when forest guards and a large number of people were searching for the leopard, hiding in bushes at a rubber estate.
The youth, Kuttan, was suddenly attacked by the leopard which emerged from the bushes. However, Kuttan, a member of Daya, a group of elephant lovers, managed to overpower the wild animal in a sudden move. Seeing this, the mob rushed for his help and overpowered the animal with their bare hands, leaving it to death due to suffocation.
